      <description><![CDATA[<p><b>Sicom Industries Ltd., a division of Boundary Mining Group is hiring for a Shipper &amp; Receiver!</b></p><p><b><br></b></p><p><b>Job Description:</b></p><p>Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Shipper &amp; Receiver is responsible for all functions and paperwork related to all incoming material to Sicom Industries. They are responsible for ensuring that goods received match the purchase order. The Mechanical Engineer will support project management to ensure deliverables are met by the required customer deadlines. Bridge has become a specialist in the rebuilding of large cylinders. The Company has set itself apart by providing the highest quality refurbishment services.</p><p>Recent demand has increased the volume in the shop, and we are looking for a self-motivated and fast-paced Journeyperson Machinist with advanced manual and CNC machining skills in repair and new product machining.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Set up and run various manual and CNC lathes, mills, and drilling and tapping equipment.</li><li>Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.</li><li>Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.</li><li>Maintain personal inspection quality.</li><li>Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.</li><li>Maintain required paperwork and notations.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Journeyperson Machinist or 3rd year apprentice trade certification. Red seal certification is considered an asset.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with manual lathes, milling machines, engine lathes, drill presses, and CNC machines.&nbsp;</li><li>Mechanically inclined – candidates with personal or work experience with mechanical hobbies or experience will be given preference.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with measuring tools such as gauges, micrometers, and verniers.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><b>Skills &amp; Abilities:</b></p><ul><li>Ability to work efficiently and keep a high attention to detail while prioritizing multiple tasks.&nbsp;</li><li>Self-starter, problem-solver, curious, and asks questions in order to learn and support continuous improvement.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills, and able to work both individually and in a team environment.</li><li>Dependable and consistent in punctuality, attendance, and quality workmanship.</li></ul><p><b>Working Conditions:</b></p><ul><li>General manufacturing shop specializing in industrial gearbox rebuilding.&nbsp;</li><li>Able to lift up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Fast-paced environment requiring high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.</li><li>Standing for extended periods of time.</li></ul>]]></description>
